In this role, you will:
Learn and understand common chemical terminology and processes; reflux, distillation, layer separations, filtration, in-process testing, melting point, flash point, vapor pressure, density, boiling point, filtrate
Learn to operate and troubleshoot equipment; fixed reactors, filters, pumps, vacuum pumps, dryers, glassware, chillers, mills
Learn how to properly collect and submit various samples for quality analysis
Learn how to; properly weigh and scale operations, review batch records, inspect equipment, drum and package material, understand purging, follow labeling procedures
Understand and maintain plant documentation; batch records, cleaning protocols, equipment use logs, equipment status tags and labeling systems.
Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
Required
Willingness to work a 6 AM – 6:30 PM shift.
Willingness to train on Days or nights
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift maximum of 50 lbs.
Advanced math skills
Ability to follow agency manufacturing guidelines – FDA, DEA, OSHA, etc.
Communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge and understanding of plant documentation such as batch records, cleaning protocols, equipment use logs, equipment status tags, and labeling systems
Associates or Bachelor's degree
Prior chemical experience
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
